Black flags at Calcutta University
Governor C.V. Ananda Bose was shown black flags by two student organisations as he arrived at Calcutta University for its foundation day function on Wednesday.

The high court on Wednesday directed the state government to submit an affidavit informing the court why it had brought forward the time of the Madhyamik from noon to 9.45am this year. The petitioner said it would be difficult for students to reach the exam centres on time.
