Footpath dweller run over
A man was crushed by a truck on Bidhan Sarani around 11.50pm on Friday. Chhotu Sarder, 20, a pavement dweller, suffered multiple injuries and was declared dead at the Calcutta Medical College and Hospital, police said. The driver of the truck fled from the spot, police said.
