Kolkata Traffic Police have posted a list of programmes that might affect the city traffic on Saturday (5.11.2022).
- 12 noon to 7pm: Programme at Cathedral Road
- 1pm: Procession that may follow the route Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Road, SN Banerjee Road and Dorina crossing
- 3pm: Procession down Moulali crossing and SN Banerjee Road
- 3pm: Football tournament, Red Road
Trains cancelled
The Santragachhi-Ajmer Express that was slated to leave Santragachhi on November 11 and the Shali-mar-Udaipur Express that was slated to leave Shalimar on November 12 have been cancelled. A railway official said that railway infrastructure upgrade under West Central Railway forced the cancellation of the trains.
Money laundering probe
Teams from the Enforcement Directorate searched at least four locations in Kolkata and Salt Lake on Friday. Officials of the central agency said they carried out the search at these locations as part of the probe into alleged money laundering related to the use of forged papers for the sale of defence land in West Bengal and Jharkhand.
