Coach jumps tracks at Howrah station
A coach of a local train got derailed at Howrah station on Sunday morning, triggering panic among passengers. There were no casualties, said railway officials.
The third coach from the rear of the Amta Local was derailed when the train was entering platform 19 around 9.45am, said the spokesperson for Eastern Railway. “The derailed coach was put back on the tracks at 11.32am, following which train movements resumed from platform19,” said the official.
