Fresh system over Bay

A fresh cyclonic circulation is expected over the Bay of Bengal on Monday, said Met officials. It is likely to intensify into a low-pressure area in the next 24 hours. “But the system is likely to take shape over the northwest Bay, closer to the Odisha coast. The system is unlikely to bring heavy rain to Kolkata,” said an official.

For the next few days, the city is likely to see a “partly cloudy sky with light to moderate rain”. Since the humidity quotient is on the higher side, the conditions are likely to be hot and sweaty when it does not rain, said the official.

The purpose of the event — organised by Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology, an educational institution under JIS Group — was to “demonstrate the profound impact of AI tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney on our everyday lives”. The event was titled Iche Dana -- The Wings of Imagination.
