IIEST, Shibpur, has uploaded the details of the consent form that the guardians will have to sign, if any student is not able to leave the hostel.
On January 5, the institute had asked students to leave the campus immediately as staying in hostels could prove hazardous amid the spike in Covid cases.
The consent form reads: “….I voluntarily permit myson/daughter/ward to stay in the Hostel/Hall of the IIEST Shibpur to attend his/her academic activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. I allow this even after noting that offline attendance or physical presence in campus is not compulsory from the side of IIEST Shibpur....”
