If you have ever asked ChatGPT questions related to Indian law only to find unsatisfactory answers, then Chowringhee-based legal services company Fightright is here to help. Specialising in litigation funding and analytics, Fightright has announced the launch of LawGeek, an AI-based chatbot (that looks and feels a lot like ChatGPT) under the BharatKanoon brand, to provide users with a “foundational direction for their legal queries”.
LawGeek, pronounced as “logic”, is currently in its beta phase and is free to use here. It is intended to serve as an initial guidepost for legal research and will also save users time by pointing them in the right direction and providing them with the critical legal information they need. According to Fightright, LawGeek marks a significant step towards revolutionising legal research and is poised to be a precious asset for law students, legal professionals as well as the public at large.

As part of its internal operations, Fightright already uses an AI-based service called Chanakya, which helps clients understand lawyer performance and judge sentiment based on an extensive database of cases across courts and jurisdictions in India.
