In addition to the school visit, Education in Ireland and Irish universities hosted an educational fair at The Park Hotel for students and parents on August 19.

Expressing Ireland’s commitment to providing excellence in education and making its graduates market-ready for the future, Barry O’Driscoll, regional manager of Education in Ireland (India & South Asia), said, “Our aim is to present students with an opportunity to explore and find the right courses with job prospects through direct interaction with representatives of Irish educational institutions.”

The initiative was the first grand study-abroad guidance and counselling platform organised by Education in Ireland for school students of Kolkata.

“Ireland is one of the top 10 education destinations across the world, according to IMB World Competitiveness Ranking 2019. The country has a stable, competitive, secure and pro-business economy, which provides a perfect backdrop for students out of school who are looking to grow their careers. Irish higher educational institutions offer ample opportunities and in-depth courses for undergraduate students,” O’Driscoll said.
