The CBSE Class X term 1 results have been published by the board but not all students have been able to access them, leaving many homes in the city in anxiety.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has sent the marks students have obtained in individual subjects to schools and said that the scores will not be available on the website.

Some schools have conveyed to students their scores. Many haven’t.

Some schools collated the data and informed their students how much they have scored in each subject.

Several others said they will upload the marks next week. Among the schools who have not informed the students their scores are South Point, Mahadevi Birla World Academy and DPS Ruby Park.

“We are receiving calls from students but the board hasn’t provided mark sheets. We will have to create them. We will give them out next week,” said an official of South Point.

The board in a circular issued on Saturday said no mark sheet or pass certificate is being issued because it is the term I exam.

“Only one mark sheet cum passing Certificate will be issued after Term II examination to have parity with the previous results. This will be comprising of total marks of both the terms as per weightage decided of Term-1 and Term-II examinations,” the circular said.

Many students across schools have been calling their schools and teachers to know their marks.

Several heads of schools said that the board had sent the results subject-wise late on Friday.

They said that they would have to collate the data for each individual student, which is a “time-consuming process”.

Some schools had managed to do that by Saturday night.

“We have been receiving calls from students since late morning. They were anxious to know their result. We had to collate the data of each individual student from the complete result of all students sent by the board, which is a time-consuming process,” said Amita Prasad, the director of Indus Valley World School.

The school mailed individual students their results by 8pm.

Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, which had earlier decided to inform students on Monday, uploaded the marks on Saturday night.

“We had decided to wait but we thought when students would read (in newspapers) that results have been published but they do not know theirs, they would be anxious. So, teachers are uploading individual results and students are accessing it with individual passwords on the website,” said Meena Kak, the director of Lakshmipat Singhania Academy.

It is one thing to wait for the result when it is not out and another not knowing how much one has scored when it is published.

“Some of our friends in other schools have received the results but we have not,” said an anxious student on Saturday evening.
