The high court on Thursday approved the state primary education board’s decision to accept applications of grievances against the selection process followed for the 2015 Teachers' Eligibility Test (TET) for appointment of primary school teachers.
Justice Amrita Sinha asked the board to consider the applications within 16 days.
After the test, petitions were filed in the high court alleging that at least six model answers to the questions in the exam were wrong.
The court set up a committee of experts to find out whether the model answers were wrong.
The committee said in its report that the answers were erroneous. The court then ordered that all candidates who attempted the six questions be awarded six marks and a fresh merit list be published.
A number of candidates again moved the court alleging that the board had not awarded them the six marks.
Justice Sinha on Wednesday asked the board it might chalk out a plan to accept the grievances and publish its decision on its website.
On Thursday, counsel for the board submitted that his client had decided to accept the grievance applications and publish its decision.
