Kite string injures traffic cop

A traffic sergeant of Kolkata police was injured by a kite string on the Parama flyover on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The sergeant was on duty at the time of the accident. According to police officers, the sergeant suffered injuries on his hands. The police have been making attempts to stop people from flying kites in the vicinity of the Parama flyover and the AJC Bose Road flyover but apparently little has changed on the ground. Motorcyclists and scooterists often get injured by kite strings, at times fatally.
