“CCTV footage helped us identify the two-wheeler the snatchers were riding during the crime. Then we used information obtained from our sources to zero in on them,” said an officer.

Anita Das, 72, was walking along Aswini Dutta Road on Monday night when a motorcycle slowed down near her and one of the three men on the vehicle allegedly snatched her gold chain, police said.

The woman lodged a complaint with Rabindra Sarobar police station. The police said the accused trio were unemployed. They were produced in court on Wednesday and remanded in police custody.
