Vian by Olivia Sinha Roy and Sayantan Sarkar that started its journey with handcrafted, contemporary casuals and focuses on streetwear, launches its summer ’22 collection called ‘Urban Nomads’. Staying true to the the brand ethos, the new collection is an ensemble of edgy street styles made with sustainable fabrics, incorporating a handloom texture, contemporary cuts and functional design detailing on a muted and soothing colour palette. The functional aspect of the collection lies in the use of design detailing like back buttons, detachable pockets, drop-crotch pants that make it convenient for the wearer and elevate the style too. An uber-cool Telegraph lookbook from the collection for this season:

On Iqbal, a three-piece ensemble including an oversized teal shrug designed with back buttons and drop shoulders, a white long kurta with a stylised yoke and long sleeves and a pair of flared pants. On Priyanka, a soothing pink co-ord set consisting of an oversized crop jacket worn over a blue bralette, paired with harem pants, stylishly tied around the ankle with shoestrings. White liner and minimal accessories accentuate the look.

On Sonal, a formal look in a soothing yellow A-line dress with Bishop sleeves, wooden button detailing and an interestingly designed collar extending to form a tie-up on the side. Smoky eyes, neat hair and simple accessories add to the look.

Priyanka channelled a chic easy-breezy summer look in a long beige jacket designed with a shawl collar, worn over an A-line, calf-length dress with gathered detailing in front. The simple look was styled with messy hair, smoky eyes and a bag.

Iqbal channelled a suave formal look in a grey oversized jacket with button detailing and a pair of harem pants in a breathable and soft fabric, paired with a basic white shirt.

On Priyanka, a uber-smart look in a pleated front-loop jacket with asymmetric hem and a tie-up around the waist paired with trendy flared pants. Gelled hair parted on one side and bold eyes complete the look. On Sonal, a simple and stunning formal look. The beige crop jacket designed with buttons at the back is paired with beige crop top and wrap trousers.

The beige co-ord set on Iqbal exudes a comfy-smart vibe. The shacket or shrug-jacket with a buttoned front belt on the side is paired with a mustard round-neck and loose beige pants with a tie-up design around the ankle.

Iqbal cut a relaxed frame in the wine-coloured oversized jacket with front pockets, tied with a belt in the front. It is paired with pleated trousers in slub cotton.

“With the present-day scenario of comfort and leisure clothing winning over the glitz and glamour of fashion, this understated street style collection speaks about confidence and free spiritedness of the post-pandemic state of mind where one reflects inner confidence and belief by just being themselves. It’s all about keeping yourself first and not caring what the world thinks about you. As the name suggests, our collection ‘Urban Nomads’ embodies the spirit of the new generation to chase the unknown, to break free from the existing barriers and choose comfortable, functional yet stylish garments. Taking inspiration from the rise of street style all over the world, we gave a creative twist by including sustainable fabrics with edgy, experimental and unconventional form. Considering the fact that our target market is always on the move, our design elements help to keep it functional and travel friendly. Minimalistic designs and innovative silhouettes form the core of this collection”
