Vases: Nothing peps up your house like a bunch of flowers. You can do so by either buying fresh flowers like sunflowers, carnations or tuberose or investing in pretty faux flowers that will last, but pay attention to vases too. There are plenty of coloured, tinted glass and ceramic vases that one can choose from. You can keep them in your living room, bedroom and also near the entrance.

Scented candles: Nothing lifts the mood like a fresh-smelling home the moment you step inside. Choose from paraben-free, smokeless candles in fragrances like floral, aqua or woody that smell just like a fresh, rain-soaked forest. If you are low on budget, opt for essential oils. Dip a cotton ball in it and place it strategically in different corners of your house. Do not neglect the kitchen and bathroom.

Curtains: Curtains are a great way of adding colour to your living room too. Go for water and cooler shades and try and opt for fabrics that are breathable and trap less of the musty smell. Linens are the best option provided you can maintain them.
You can also spruce up your house with upholstery like cushions, and bedsheets in brighter or in raindrop motifs.

Umbrella stands:
When we are talking about monsoon, let's not forget our umbrella. Keep a dedicated umbrella stand next to the entrance where guests or you can hang your brollies to prevent the entire house from getting drippy wet.

Kitchen essentials: Don’t neglect the kitchen during monsoon. It is very important that all corners are cleaned regularly and dry. You could add a touch of pop with colourful crockery, table mats and more!
