The new Hoichoi web series Indu is a family drama/thriller, starring Ishaa Saha, revolving around a grand wedding in a ‘bonedi’ household. The story follows a wedding and the life-after for newlyweds Sougato and Indrani (Indu).
Suspicious mishappenings around Indu start taking place with the onset of the marriage rituals and ceremonies. From finding a poisonous leaf hidden inside a fish to stepping in hot milk instead of cold while entering the new house, everything around Indu hints at some hidden mystery. Eventually, she figures out that there must be someone behind all these who don’t want her in the family and poses a threat to her life.

Sourced by The TelegraphFor Indu, life after marriage doesn’t resonate well and she decides to delve into all the secret stories of her new family from the past to connect the dots. “This has been a really interesting project for me, as Indu is a series that has two very interesting elements, one being a family drama and the other a thriller. I am also eternally grateful to Sahana Dutta for visualising me in the role of Indu. The entire team has done an amazing job to make Indu a series that people will love to watch,” says Ishaa.
“Though Indu is a suspense/ thriller drama, the territory is completely new to me. I think this brand of suspense will offer something fresh for the viewers. Honestly, it was pretty difficult for the team to execute Indu, because it is not only the mystery that needed to be built, there were a lot of minute details to take care of, which were psychological in nature... a lot of emotions, family drama. It is very unique,” said director Sayantan Ghosal.
