The intriguing trailer of the Hoichoi web series Tiktiki, starring Kaushik Ganguly and Anirban Bhattacharya, dropped recently.

Apart from being Hoichoi’s 100th Original, Tiktiki marks the directorial debut of film-maker Dhrubo Banerjee in the OTT space.

The trailer begins with the visuals of a palace and moves on to a meeting between polar opposites, Soumendra Krishna Deb (played by Kaushik Ganguly) and Milan Basak (played by Anirban Bhattacharya), that slowly turns into a chaotic situation as the characters start to reveal themselves. It begins with cordial exchange of words but soon resembles a never-seen-before duel.

Talking about Tiktiki’s trailer launch, Dhrubo said: “It feels amazing to showcase the trailer of my first web show, Tiktiki, in such a grand manner. Right now, I am cherishing every moment that we have spent in creating Tiktiki. I hope the audiences love the show and recognise the passion that has gone into making Tiktiki.”

Elated about Tiktiki, Anirban said: “I am happy about not only getting to play such a powerful character as Milan Basak, but also to share screen space with such an accomplished actor like Kaushik Ganguly. Tiktiki is the kind of project that I feel will leave a mark. I am grateful to Dhrubo Banerjee for making Tiktiki and making me a part of it. I am looking forward to the audience reactions.”

“It is an absolute delight for me. I am thankful to Dhrubo Banerjee for Soumendra Krishna Deb and simply hope that I have done justice to the character. I am immensely thankful to the entire team of Tiktiki and Hoichoi for making the journey of my first web series so memorable.”

Tiktiki streams on Hoichoi from March 18.

The trailer launch event also witnessed the unveiling of the Tiktiki Game, an intriguing game of chess where one can challenge either of the two lead characters of Tiktiki. If one gets maximum ‘kills’ amounting to 150 within 100 seconds, the user stands a chance to win a coupon code offering 25 per cent discount on the Hoichoi annual subscription.

The game is available on the Hoichoi app (in the menu section). People can share the link of the game with their friends and family for playing.
