Announced globally last year, Samsung’s premium monitor — Smart Monitor M8, powered by Tizen — is currently in pre-reserve mode in India. It’s an all-in-one monitor that can do a lot of things even when it is not connected to a PC.

The 32-inch Wi-Fi capable smart TV and monitor allows you to connect a PC/laptop to use it as an external display or you can use it independently with the included remote control, having access to several streaming services. It also has built-in 5W speakers.

The Smart Monitor M8 has a magnetic and removable SlimFit Cam that can attach to the monitor while keeping desk space neat without any unsightly wires. The SlimFit Cam also features Face Tracking and Auto Zoom functions to help identify a person’s face when on screen and automatically focusing on the subject. So it can follow and capture an individual speaker, a perfect option for active presentation or livestreaming. The monitor supports video chat apps such as Google Duo, allowing users to work remotely or engage in video conferencing at home or in the workplace using the SlimFit Cam.

The other aspect of the monitor is its ability to control SmartThings-compatible IoT devices thanks to its built-in home hub. You can use the remote control, or Alexa or Bixby voice commands, to turn off smart lights, adjust smart thermostats and more as long as those devices work with the SmartThings platform.

When it comes to viewing comfort, the monitor automatically adjusts display brightness and colour temperature. The M8 also includes a height adjustable stand (HAS) and tilt functionality.

You can pre-reserve Smart Monitor M8 for Rs 3,000 and while pre-reserving you can also get a coupon worth Rs 5,000 that can be availed while making the purchase. Also there, free Galaxy Buds2 and a wireless keyboard for consumers.
