THE BEER

The space will currently serve four different types of craft beer. Traditionally German beers are made only with four ingredients according to the German law of purity from 1516. Water, yeast, malt, hops. Everything German is made with only these four ingredients in different permutations and combinations. Made with 100 per cent natural ingredients, the raw materials are imported from overseas. Let’s explore the four different styles of beer proposed:

Belgian Wit: It’s a wheat beer originating from Belgium with orange peel and coriander flavour notes. It’s a pale, blonde and cloudy wheat beer.

Bohemian Pilsner: A traditional Czech pilsner, this has the perfect balance between the sweetness of the malt, and the aromas and bitterness of the hops. This is a golden blonde, very clear beer and is the only lager beer available in the portfolio.

English Brown Ale: A traditional English beer from the countryside. It has a malty caramel flavour, is nutty and toasty with sweet notes, and is also darker in colour.

Weizenbock: A traditional German strong wheat beer, it’s a little bit darker and cloudy. Its cloudiness comes from the wheat and proteins in the beer. You will get notes of banana, cloves and bubblegum while tasting.

“It brings me immense joy to introduce the craft and science of brewing to the City of Joy. Wykiki Brewpub is more than just a place for beer. It’s an experience that marries the art of brewing with the joy of living. We have carefully crafted a selection of beers that capture the essence of Calcutta, promising to tantalise the palates of our esteemed guests,” said master brewer Andre P. LeBlanc, the man behind the brewing of the beer.

(LEFT) Sriracha Buffalo Chicken Wings: Slathered with a sweet and spicy sriracha buffalo sauce, these huge chicken wings are first fried and then tossed in the sauce with spices. A must-try from the menu. Be prepared to get your hands messy.

(RIGHT) Golden Fried Dragon Roll: These are essentially spring rolls stuffed with glass noodles and a variety of vegetables, then coated with sesame and deep fried till crisp. This is also served with a hot dip.
