The Calcutta Porkaddicts has slipped into a festive mood by hosting the latest edition of Oktoberhogfest, at Chapter 2 on Southern Avenue. The event was a way to bond over good food and the mood was just right, thanks to Oktoberfest being in the background. The group of pork fanatics, whose journey began in November 2016, is known to host interesting events over a wide range of sumptuous pork delicacies and beer. With the philosophy of “eat and let eat”, the group strives to keep the mood light. Here are some snapshots from the event.

“We have been constantly following up on the Porkaddicts menu in various other restaurants and we are lucky to participate in a few of their initiatives. This time when they approached us to host a menu for them, which was more on pork and only pork, in sync with Oktoberfest, we were happy to be a part of it. We would like to make this an annual affair. Each year we would like to do host Oktoberhogfest with The Porkaddicts,” said Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury, co-founders of Chapter 2.

Cabbage and sausage soup with bread rolls is a classic offering comprising sweet potato and pork sausages. It is a slurpy treat.

Jagerschnitzel is a popular German dish made with roasted pork cutlets and delicious jager sauce containing tomato, mushroom and bacon.

Curly sausage, smoked and grilled Bratwurst, and sauerkraut... you can’t go wrong. And it’s paired perfectly with horseradish and Dijon mustard.
