Kolkatans sure do know how to have their fun and World Bar III is the newest address in town for all things chill and fun. Whether you are looking to dance the night away or have a chilled-out lunch with friends, World Bar III can be the go-to destination. An array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes awaits patrons to complement the alcohol and range of cocktails. Expect to enjoy familiar flavours with a more global approach that at once brings comfort but also, a hint of something new.

“The idea behind World Bar III was that we wanted to showcase world cuisine, not try to over elaborate anything but keep the menu short and concise and try to cover as many cuisines as possible. We want to try and serve what we are good at. Although cocktails are deeply entrenched in the history of the F&B industry, it has not really taken off in Kolkata. So, we also want to express ourselves through our cocktails and offer something unique to our guests,” said Arpit Parakh of World Bar III.

The sprawling space is done up in elegant and luxurious shades of black and gold. Located on the eighth floor of the Fort Knox building, World Bar III also offers a splendid view of the city skyline through its large windows, keeping it well-lit and totally ’gram worthy. There are also two private spaces for a more secluded corner from the hubbub. What’s more, the music in these spaces, located at the two ends of the floor, can be adjusted to the guests’ preference even though there is a central music console.

“I like getting down to the kitchen and being with the guys to see what we can create. If we are in the kitchen, thinking, we can come up with new ideas and it is much more interesting for the guest as well. The menu is a colourful and flavoursome combination. I do not want to title it as a particular cuisine but rather, want the guests to taste and find out what they like best. It’s a very simple menu, no fancy words but just good food on the plate,” said Chef Shaun Kenworthy, food consultant, on curating the menu.

Mixed Grain Crackers with Cream Cheese Dip and Tomato Compote: Try these crispy mixed grain crackers as the right nibble to the alcoholic concoction of your choice. While the cream cheese dip is rich in taste, the tomato compote adds notes of freshness to the dish.
