At the cosy cafe on Russell Street, dry fruits were traded for tea leaves and spices, in a holiday twist!

’Tis the season to be jolly! A bunch of merry ladies showed up at Glenburn Cafe on November 29 as Glenburn Fine Teas launched its Christmas special tea with a tea-mixing event

“I have been in Kolkata for the past 23 years and have hosted over 150 cake-mixing events. Being associated with Glenburn, I thought why not a tea-mixing event to prepare a batch of the special Christmas tea!” said our favourite chef Shaun Kenworthy

Curated by Shaun and hosted by Husna-Tara Prakash, owner of Glenburn Tea Estates and properties, the tea-mixing event was also a learning experience for the guests with several tea-trivia!

Enchanted by the aroma of the tea and the other ingredients, Melinda Pavek, consul general, US Consulate Kolkata, said, “I have been to several cake-mixing events but this is one of a kind! The place smells great and since I am a tea person, I love it!”
