Local favourite Vijay Kumar emerged victorious at the 2024 Patna Masters, the fourth leg of the IGU East Zone Feeder Tour held at Patna Golf Club. Despite facing fierce competition, Kumar clinched the title in Patna with a commendable performance, finishing with a total score of eight-over-par 150 after two rounds of gripping golf.

The competition reached its pinnacle as Patna’s own Sahil Kumar Singh closely trailed Kumar, finishing just one stroke behind with a score of 151. Their neck-and-neck battle not only captivated spectators but also resulted in both players securing top positions in their respective categories, with Kumar claiming the winner’s title and Singh securing the runner-up position in both the Amateur and Mid-Amateur categories.

Adding to the list of local triumphs, Patna’s S.C. Singh showcased his prowess on the course, claiming victory in the Senior and Super-Senior categories with a score of 160. Following closely behind was Rajahmundry’s B.V. Srihari Rao, who secured second place in the Senior category with a score of 169.

The prize distribution ceremony was graced by notable figures including Patna Golf Club captain Rohit Kirti, Secretary S. Sahi, and tournament referee Shashi Raj Sinha. Their presence added to the prestige of the event as they presented the deserving winners with their well-earned prizes.
