Calcutta Swimming Club hosted Symphony — Chapter 1 in association with The Telegraph, a two-day festival of contemporary, popular music. Designed along the lines of large international music festivals or concerts, it offered a one-of-akind entertainment experience that appealed to the tastes of music lovers of all ages. Organised by the new entertainment committee of the club, this concert besides setting the benchmark for music events at the club at a new height, also marked the first season of a series of music shows that the club plans to arrange in the coming months. The theme for the first day was ‘Electronic Night’ and featured a performance by Lost Stories and DJ Greff from Mumbai. Popular musician duo Sachet and Parampara performed on the second evening along with DJ Peri from Delhi. Snapshots.
The full-house crowd went wild with joy as singers Saket and Parampara belted out their favourite hits with passion, energy and emotion.
The weekend crowd soaked in the atmosphere of fun and revelry and matched steps to the intoxicating beats of the music being played on stage.

Prayag Mehta of the electronic music duo Lost Stories captivated the crowd with his selections on day 1.
Eat, drink and be merry was the byword for this group of young people, who enjoyed their time spent together with generous sips and bites from the food counters set up for the occasion.
“This festival has shown where the club is headed in terms of next-generation entertainment and shows. Not only has it established a new benchmark in the quality of performance but also it is the first time that any club in Calcutta has seen this kind of set-up. Hope to bring in more such shows,” said club president Nitin Dani, seen here with his wife.
