Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management merged their annual fest and freshers party together for a fun and unforgettable night. Held at the Artsacre Auditorium, New Town, on September 15, the fest Saffron reflected the spirit of youth and provided a platform for the students to showcase their talents through various cultural events.

Classical and western dance performances, classical music and singing, a captivating play and a high-octane fashion show were the main highlights of the annual fest. Making the event lit was singer Anwesshaa Dattagupta who performed live, making the students as well as teachers sway with unmatched energy to her hit tracks.

Bidisha Sarkar, principal and director of Subhas Bose Institute of Hotel Management too enjoyed the evening. “For the last two years we couldn’t organise our annual fest or the freshers party, so we decided to merge the two this for a bigger event. I am glad the students as well as the teachers enjoyed the evening. It was a good show,” she said.

Singer Anwesshaa Dattagupta charged up the entire auditorium when she took the stage. The talented singer made the students as well as the faculty members groove to hit numbers like Ami je Tomar, Bhojena se bhojena, Diye jalte and many more .

We are so glad that our principal organised such a fantastic annual fest for us. We had a lot of fun today,” said Anushka Poddar, a student.

The students showcased dance drama Chitrangada that had the audience in rapt attention.

The fashion show was one of the most exciting segments of the fest with students walking the ramp in convincing confidence. While the boys upped the style quotient with western and and Indo-western ensembles, the girls walked in dresses and saris, showcasing their stylish side.
