Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday inaugurated two Durga Puja pandals on Saturday, a day ahead of Mahalaya.
Banerjee visited the pandals at Tala Pratyay, Hatibagan Sarbojanin, and Sreebhumi Sporting Club, which is patronised by the state fire services minister Sujit Bose.
While the Durga Puja rituals will begin a week from now, Kolkata is already in a festive mood. The city residents and pandal-hoppers from adjoining areas have started visiting the pandals which have already completed the themes and décor.
