Calcutta Club embraced the holiday season with the 32nd edition of their prestigious annual bakery carnival, held in association with t2, on December 17. Formally inaugurated in the presence of the chief guest, filmmaker Sandip Ray, the daylong event unfurled with performances by the Calcutta Police band and children from Calcutta Social Project. While the first half of the fiesta consisted of a kids’ carnival with several exciting games and activities lined up for them, a young crowd came together in the latter half to indulge in merrymaking and share moments of fun and friendship with loved ones.
Along with signature attractions like a 24-pound chocolate truffle cake made by the bakery section of the heritage club, were several other sumptuous offerings to snack on. If the morning was colourful, the evening dazzled. Grooving to foot-tapping numbers, the young and young-at-heart members of the club ushered in the Yuletide spirit in the jolly company of their families and friends. Glimpses.
