Conceptualised by artist Biman Saha, ‘Drishtikon’ moves beyond the aesthetic appeal of colour to explore it as a language of self-expression

The pandal and the idol have been designed to reflect how every hue carries an emotion and meaning

The towering Durga idol, painted in a striking palette, mirrors this vision. Every shade, from fiery reds to calming blues, has been used to narrate a story of courage, protest, love and hope

The result is a striking visual interpretation of how colour breathes life into both art and human experience

Sayan Deb Chatterjee, joint secretary of Hazra Park Durgotsab Committee, said, “Colour is not just an ornament to the world, it is its heartbeat. Every shade tells a story, and this year, we invite everyone to be part of that story.”

The puja was inaugurated on Wednesday in the presence of prominent city personalities and is now open to visitors
