Feb. 27: Norah Jones has retained the No. 1 spot on the US’ pop album chart after selling 395,000 copies of Feels Like Home in its second week in stores, Nielsen SoundScan has reported.

Defying the sophomore jinx, the CD entered the chart at No. 1 last week after generating one of the biggest first-week figures in pop history: 1.02 million copies.

The pop singer’s Grammy-winning debut album, Come Away With Me, has sold more than 8 million copies in the US since its release two years ago.

Rapper Kanye West’s College Dropout sold enough copies in its first week (441,000) to have entered at No. 1 most weeks, but it ran into the Jones blockbuster last week and finished second.

The CD sold an additional 196,000 last week to hold on to the No. 2 spot on this week’s chart. The only other new Top 10 arrival was Eamon, whose I Don’t Want You Back ranked No. 7 with 106,000 copies sold in its first week.
