London, June 18 (AFP): Jennifer Aniston hopes that she can be friends again one day with her heart-throb ex-husband Brad Pitt, whom she says she will love forever.

“I don’t regret any of that time and I’m not here to beat myself up about it,” she said.

“They were seven very intense years together and it was a beautiful, complicated relationship. I will love Brad for the rest of my life and I hope that some day we will be able to be friends again,” she told the News of the World weekly.

The couple were together for seven years and married for five. They divorced in 2005 after he reportedly fell in love with co-star Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith. The split hit Aniston hard.

Jolie gave birth to her and Pitt’s first child together last month amid a blaze of publicity.

“At the moment, I’m doing really well,” said Aniston, 37.

“There were times when I had a little ‘pity-party’ for myself? Sure there were. Absolutely ? who wouldn’t?”

She is now reported to be in love with Vince Vaughan, her co-star in The Break-up, released earlier this month.

“To date, he hasn’t serenaded me under my balcony,” Aniston said.

“I’ve gone for each type of man. The rough guy, the nerdy, sweet, lovable type, the slick guy. Man in general are a good thing, I think.”

Mama Jolie

Angelina Jolie says she’s been trying to make sure she gives her two older children plenty of attention now that she and Pitt also have a newborn at home.

“It’s different to say that you choose to bring a child into existence,” Jolie told Forbes magazine.

“I didn’t choose to bring my two adopted children to life. Strangely enough, I was concerned about (this difference), and I have been making a point recently to give my adopted children more attention. But I feel now I love them equally.”
