| XLRI: Celebrations ahead |
Jamshedpur, April 2: It’s time for the students of XLRI’s satellite programmes to attend their graduation ceremony on April 4.
Altogether 409 students from across the country will take part in the ceremony to be held at the Tata auditorium.
Students of various courses — postgraduate certificate in business management, postgraduate certificate in human resource management, postgraduate certificate in logistics & supply chain management, postgraduate certificate in retail management and postgraduate certificate in sales & marketing management — will take part in the graduation ceremony.
B.K. Jhawar, the chairman of Usha Martin Group, will deliver a speech. Faculty members and other staff would attend the function, where Jhawar will present gold medals to the toppers in various courses and XLRI director Father E. Abraham will give the certificates.
The satellite programmes were introduced in 2002 to help working executives fine-tune their skills by upgrading and adding value to their profession. “This was a concept that allowed executives to pursue their studies and be associated with a brand like XLRI. This was an onsite interactive learning with the latest technology for two days a week,” said B. Balmuchu, a graduating student.
The students would start arriving at the B-school from tomorrow.
