Jamshedpur, Aug. 20: At least two impersonators were caught by East Singhbhum administration today during the examination conducted to fill up over 200 fourth-grade vacancies in the district.

Deputy commissioner Nitin Madan Kulkarni confirmed that two were caught writing the test for the original candidates while a third candidate was “given the benefit of doubt”. No other trouble was reported from any of the 26 centres across the district where the examinations were organised. More than 12,000 applicants appeared for the test.

The impersonators were caught from KSMS and ADL Sunshine School in Sakchi — two of the many centres. Later, the magistrate-on-duty and the invigilators of the centres concerned lodged cases against the duo, who were answering for other candidates.

One of the impersonators, Vishal Kumar, who was apprehended from KSMS, reportedly told the Sakchi police that he was writing the exam for his brother. Vishal had entered the hall with a permit card bearing the name of Tarun Kumar, a resident of Samastipur district in Bihar.

Candidates from Jharkhand as well as Bihar appeared for the test.

Deputy commissioner Kulkarni said that the results of the test would be declared within a day.
