How about landing in style in a private helicopter for your big fat Jharkhand wedding instead of a bumpy carriage or car ride on rugged roads? Your movie-like fantasy can take flight, with Delhi-based Aryan Aviation introducing its luxury service for civilians.
A Bell 407 — the four-blade, single-engine civil utility helicopter — has found room in the state hangar in Ranchi from Sunday and can be booked for weddings, business meetings or just a joyride with family and friends.
Enquiries for the seven-seater aircraft, which is of 2008-make and configured for VIPs, can be made by dialling 09871658111, 08468066999, 08603734527 and 011-24105187 or through email at info@aryanaviation.com.
“This is the first such venture by any aircraft operator. We are offering people a chartered connectivity that transcends obstacles, inhospitable terrain and other issues associated with travelling on road. It also provides them an opportunity to live their dreams,” R.K. Negi (retd), group captain of Aryan Aviation, told The Telegraph from New Delhi on Sunday morning.
What services are on offer?
“Aryan is the preferred choice for its coverage, highly personalised experience and luxury on board. Our clientele fly for businesses, marriages, anniversaries, pilgrimages and vacations. We are also ready to offer medical transfer,” Negi said, adding that the minimum booking is for two hours. “We will charge Rs 95,000 per flight hour. However, waiting fee will be levied. We have parked the helicopter in Ranchi, which naturally cuts down such charges.”
Does the aviation firm see a market in Jharkhand, where there is often a trickle of passengers for even scheduled flights?
“Everything depends on how one operates. A market certainly exists in Jharkhand and that is why we are here. As of today, we received innumerable queries for various events, though no confirmation has come yet. The service will take-off with time,” Negi said.
Aryan Aviation has been in the state for quite a few years, but so far its services were restricted to the government. Negi himself is known to have flown several chief ministers, including now caretaker head Arjun Munda, several times in the past. The Agusta, which crash-landed last year, too belonged to the company.
“That was an unfortunate event, but our brave pilots brought VIPs safely home. The terrain in Jharkhand is at times treacherous. However, ensuring safety and comfort of our clients has always been our speciality,” he claimed.
