Four youths shot at and injured an eatery owner at Garhwa town late on Friday night when he said the mutton curry they wanted was over.

Hotel owner Sunil Keshari, 30, who received bullet wound on his left hand rushed to Garhwa hospital.

After first-aid, the doctor said he was out of danger.

The police nabbed all the four youths from Sonpurva locality near Garhwa railway station, within four hours of the shooting, in the small hours of Saturday.

Chhotu Dubey, 22, Vicky Khan, 21, Ashu Pandey, 18, and Chhotu Tiwari, 23, all youths of Garhwa, have been sent on judicial custody.

On Friday around 9pm, they came to Keshari’s eatery Jawahar Bhojanalay, in the heart of Garhwa town, and demanded their favourite mutton curry. Keshari said mutton was over but chicken was available. But the youths wanted only mutton, leading to a heated exchange of words between Keshari and the youths. The youths left, promising to teach the eatery owner a lesson. Around 10pm, the youths wearing masks shot at Keshari, injuring his left hand.
