Ranchi, July 28: Those interested in Vastu can now remove negativity from their homes without compromising on the home plan.

Anil K. Mehta, a Ranchi-based cast glass artist of national acclaim, is ready with his innovative product — a Vastu aroma pyramid.

A 2007 national award winner of Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC), and a researcher on Vastu and glass art for the past 15 years, Mehta’s product is for those who believe in Vastu Shastra and want to enjoy it without changing their home plans.

Usually, a Vastu expert recommends construction or reconstruction and this could lead to unnecessary expenditure, especially for middle-income groups. This inspired Mehta to design a pyramid as a remedy to Vastu problems.

The pyramid follows a vapour therapy and is a combination of Vastu, Feng Shui, colour and power essence therapy. It harmonises the environment, body, mind and soul through vapour and generates positive energy.

“All theories used are scientifically proven. I had just combined the effects of all and designed this product,” said Mehta, who runs a factory of innovative glass products at Boria village in Kanke.

The pyramid is made of original stained glass with a copper base where water has to be poured. It has a heating burner at the bottom with a wooden base. Three-fourth of the copper tray is filled with water and 6-8 drops of holy herbal extract is added to it. The pyramid is then covered and the solution is heated for around two hours in the morning. As the vapour encompasses the house, positive energy spreads,” said Mehta.

Mehta, a qualified mechanical engineer who picked up the nuances of glass art while working in Dubai, was adjudged the winner at the Foire de Lyon, an international festival held in France, twice.

A regular participant of the India International Trade Fair, New Delhi, Mehta distributed some samples of the pyramid and the response has been encouraging so far. “It has only been 15 days since I started using the pyramid and I feel more positive,” said Gurmukh Singh, a client.

The pyramid is undoubtedly positive as it is based on scientific theories and has a combination of all the five elements, said Rita Lal, a resident of Ratu Road, who is using the product.
