Jamshedpur, May 13: After a rigorous training session, cricketer in the state are raring to go as they take on a host of teams from across the country.
Secretary of the Bihar Cricket Association B.N. Singh said the players have been taught meditation and yoga to boost performance. “It is time to put all they have learned into practice. The players will participate in a number of national-level invitation tournaments. The tournaments will pit them against some of the best talents in the country,” he said.
In their first encounter on May 17, a 15-member team would play in the invitation Ganesh Dutta trophy in Delhi. The team has been selected by Ramesh Saxena and Randhir Singh from 37 players, who took part in the camp.
“The camp included under-25 and under-15 players. I am sure that they will fare well in the tournaments,” said Singh. The team is scheduled to leave for Delhi on May 15. The players would also participate in the Seeshmahal and the Moiudullah tournaments.
