Ranchi, May 16: She is now a ?wounded and vindictive? woman.

Hit, abused and hurt, Rupa Natarajan has vowed to retaliate at all those who have been continuously harassing her family ever since her husband, suspended IG P.S. Natarajan went underground.

?Ab mujhse saha nahin jata (I cannot tolerate it any longer). Instead of providing us security they are attacking us. If they attack my house again, I will fight back. I shall either kill them or get killed,? she thundered.

The family has been living in terror since a mob of local people attacked the mother-son duo after a freak mishap on May 3.

?I cannot forget the day when our misfortune started. Sahab (Natarajan) was very happy that morning as he was about to be promoted as ADG (Headquarters). Sahab knew about the irregularities going on in the headquarters and was opposed to it. So it was none other than the director general of police, V.D. Ram, and officers such as Anil Palta (former Ranchi SSP), Suman Gupta (former City SP) and Prashant Karn (former DSP, Koel Karo), who planted the trap to save themselves,? she said.

She said Ram would face the music, shortly.

?We have learnt that the Bihar government is all set to re-open the file of the Bhagalpur jail case soon. And Ram, who was the then Bhagalpur SP, was one of the main culprits. He may be at the helm of police affairs here but he should not forget that every night is not moonlit. Sooner or later he too will have to kneel on his knees,? fumed Rupa.

Narrating the facts, a close family friend said: ?This tribal woman is a pawn in the hands of these powerful people. Before she accused Natarajan of sexually exploiting her, she had done the same against four others too. But in all these cases, the accused never has never been booked under the SC/ST Act.?

?According to her khatiyan, she belongs to Chik community, that does not come under the SC/ST category. But Chik Baraik comes under the Scheduled Tribe category,? he added.

?We had checked the records in Gumla (her place of birth) and had found out that Sushma had obtained a caste certificate on July 2, 2005. And Gumla administration stated that since her way of living matches with that of a tribal, she should be given tribal status. It is clear that it was a false certificate issued just to trap Natarajan,? he said.

?First we were thinking of leaving this place. But now, we will stay here and face them,? she said.
