Inder Singh Namdhari: Gearing up |
Ranchi, Sept. 22: Janata Dal (United) president Inder Singh Namdhari today asked party workers to work together for the success of the party rally on October 31.
He also advised them against badmouthing the BJP as the BJP-JD(U) alliance was not going to end.
?This is a three-legged race, where BJP and JD(U) are partners. To win the race, a proper coordination between the parties is essential. Coalition politics will dominate the next 10 years. High-flying leaders will be shown the door. Workers at grassroots and the young generation will be given due respect,? he said, while elaborating on the challenges ahead for the party.
Taking a dig at predecessor Gautam Sagar Rana, Namdhari said those who now advocate that the party should snap ties with the ?communal? BJP, should first justify why they hobnobbed with the BJP in the past.
?Today, when their personal interests are no longer being served, they feel that the JD(U) should severe ties with the BJP,? he said.
Targeting the UPA partners, he said, ?It is true that the BJP-led government in the state failed to come up to our expectations on several fronts, but we should not forget the step-motherly treatment meted out to the Jharkhand region during the Bihar days.?
?The BJP has now realised that doing without JD(U) support is difficult in Jharkhand. I have told the BJP leaders to hold a rally after October 31. The turnout at these meetings will be the yardstick to judge our support base,? he added.
