Film songs to soothe rebel wounds?
Former state excise and prohibition minister Gopal Krishna Patar — popularly known as Raja Peter — released the music of Nagpuri film E Sajni at an audio launch held at Satya Bharti Auditorium on Purulia Road in Ranchi on Wednesday.
A creation of Abua Series Production, the film is based on the problems of migration. Directed by Manoj Verma and Deepak Lohar, the film, made at a cost of Rs 15 lakh, was over in a year. Producer Amit Munda said shooting was done in and around Ranchi.
Peter was asked to do the honours as he belongs to rebel-hit Tamar. “If Jollywood continues to come up with such ventures, local artistes won’t have to struggle for breaks in Bollywood,” Peter said.
E Sajni is slated for a June 21 release in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
The plot revolves around a tribal youth, who goes in search of job to another state. It shows the hardships faced by him and his family members he leaves behind. Though the message is serious, the movie has all the necessary masala like comedy, romance and tragedy. Leading characters have been played by Kanchan, Dinesh Deva, Durwa, Pranab Mukherjee, Reena Sahay and Ram Babu.
