Ranchi, Dec. 9: This is not meant for the weak-hearted.
Sample this: Burning heads at fireplaces, women emerging from nowhere with blood dripping all over and heads hanging from chandeliers.
The Rock Garden has lined up ghostly thrills for visitors with the construction of a state-of-the-art ?haunted house?, which the officials claim to be first of its kind in the country.
The ?Dracula House?, all set to be completed by December 15, promises to give sleepless nights to visitors as vampires will demonstrate their ?macabre? skills within its eerie confines.
Constructed at a cost of around Rs 30 lakh, the haunted house project has been taken up by Calcutta-based Nerve Knock Theme Park Private Limited.
Tapas Sarkar, a Calcutta-based art director, who has also worked in the film Yuva, has been called to construct the house and train the staff. For sound effect, the officials have roped in a music director, who has worked for many Ram Gopal Verma?s films.
The 6-minute show will include a tour of the house for 25 people. The tour will begin with a ?welcome room?, where a man with a bloody head will greet visitors. It would then proceed to dracula?s dining room, where chandeliers will suddenly fall on the people. The visitors then can take a look at dracula?s bedroom where they will encounter headless bodies.
The tour ends in the last room called cemetery, where coffins and the dead greet them. Ropeways and 3D theatres will also be built at the Rock Garden.
Project manager Praveen Tibriwal said, ?The haunted house is part of the modification programme. As this is a scenic spot, we are aiming to attract more people.?
