Sending a floral wish has become easy with city-based Rose Gallery coming up with online and telephone booking to make the day of the special one.

What more is that you can send best wishes anywhere in the country. All you have to do is choose the designs and bouquet styles and provide the address where you want the flowers to be delivered and it will reach them.

The flower shop, which is a franchise outlet of Calcutta-based Right Florist, has recently started importing flowers from southeast Asian countries such as Orchids, Jarvera, Oriental Lily and Anthurium which do not wilt soon.

“Flowers are an essential part of every occasion. But recently we saw that people have started asking for imported flowers for decoration and bouquets. They stay fresh for more days and add to the beauty,” said M.D. Samsher, the proprietor of the store.

According to Samsher, it is the product and the service that matters. “People have surplus money in hand and when they want to wish their loved ones they want to make it big. Colourful fresh flowers make the day special and we offer these at affordable prices,” he said.

Even though the imported flowers cost more, people prefer them for their freshness, new look and attractive colours. As against a normal bouquet costing Rs 100, these bouquet start from Rs 250.

“The flowers are expensive more so because they have been imported. But we offer special discounts on online booking. We deliver the bouquets to any place in the state or in the country within two days,” said Samsher.

“For ages people have greeted others with rose and gladiolus, now orchids and chrysanthemum are in. Just imagine how elated a person would be when he or she gets a birthday bouquet at midnight. Money doesn’t matter in these cases,” said Rachna Singh, a customer at Rose Gallery.

The store also delivers chocolates, cakes, fresh fruits and sweets.
