Jamshedpur, July 23: Adivasi Hasa-Bhasa, a book penned by former BJP parliamentarian and founder of Jharkhand Disom Party Salkhan Murmu, was released today in the state.
Released by B.K. Mishra, former principal of Jamshedpur Workers’ College, the 36-page book seeks to suggest viable solutions to the present plight of tribals in Jharkhand. Murmu has also taken a dig at the former chief minister Shibu Soren through his writing in the book.
“The theme of my book is based on the dangers to existence that the tribals are facing daily,” said Murmu, talking to The Telegraph.
Murmu, who represented Mayurbhanj as a BJP MP, also said that political parties and politicians were primarily responsible for the deplorable condition of the Adivasis. “Shibu Soren is responsible for the present plight of the tribals. Soren is the one who has betrayed Adivasis,” he said, taking a pot shot at the Disom Guru.
The message to be conveyed to the adivasis from this book, Murmu claims is to remain aware of their constitutional rights.
