Dhanbad: Ten inmates of Hindu Mission Orphanage in Hirapur, Dhanbad, all aged between eight and 13 years, are learning moral values, cleanliness lessons and ways to cope up with stress at a four-day special programme titled Smart Excel, which kicked-off at the orphanage on Tuesday.

Being organised Art of Living, the children are also being taught about ways to fight stage fear by geologist Mayank Singh and Kusum Singh, both faculty members of Art of Living Dhanbad.

"Children are also being apprised about yoga and breathing techniques that will help to keep their body and mind fit," said Mayank Singh.

Singh added that all children were being trained free of cost and the training would help them boost their confidence to face the outer world.

"All these children are students of nearby government schools. These children never had anyone to teach them the right and the wrong. So our main purpose will be to teach them moral lessons, boost their confidence and help them face challenges in life," said Singh, adding the training would be held daily from 4pm to 6pm and conclude on Friday.

The children were equally excited to be a part of the training.

"We learnt how to be friendly and polite with people and be confident on the stage. Sometimes unknowingly we pick up wrong habits. From now on I will learn to be more careful and responsible," said 12-year-old Rahul Kumar.
