Jamshedpur, Oct. 6: Members of Kolhan University syndicate met at Chaibasa today.
Present at the meeting were the acting vice chancellor, registrar, proctor, dean of students’ welfare and principals of various colleges.
It was decided that the proposal to approve the Central Research Board, the research wing of Kolhan University, should be sent to the governor through the human resource development department.

Around 60 per cent of the members hail from the home institution while the remaining 40 per cent come from other universities and are experts in their respective field.
“We want M.O.H. Farook, who is the chancellor, to approve the board. We have also taken a decision on permanent transfer of teachers, who were initially deputed in various colleges,” said registrar S.S. Razi.
Also seven temporary computer operators were appointed at various colleges across the University.
