Jamshedpur, May 30: Students of the steel city who thought that mastering English was a tough job had a whole new experience at a workshop, which concluded today They came across novel methods to cope with the nuances of the language apart from learning a few things about calculation and memory enhancement.

Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Guinness Record holder for the fastest English grammar teaching, worked miracles as he shared his tips on learning flawless grammar in minutes. A gathering of over 1,500 students of various age groups were exposed to novel methods of learning English at a two-day workshop-cum-seminar organised by Genius Inter College at the SNTI auditorium.

The organisers had roped in experts in five fields — mental development, grammar, speed calculations, preparing for competitive exams and memory enhancement — from across the nation.

“Students spend a considerable amount of time in school and thereafter in coaching classes and they hardly have the time for studying on their own. They need tips for quick learning and memory enhancement to speed up their learning process,” explained Om Prakash, director of GIC, a Plus Two level junior college, which is scheduled to function in a couple of month’s time.

The workshop, which gave students an idea of the facilities that would be available at the college, proved to be a success as students enthusiastically participated in the teaching sessions.

“Over 1,000 students can be taught the rules of grammar in just 15 minutes without any of them making one mistake,” said a smug Sanjay Sinha.

“Through research and consequent compilations I have successfully written a few volumes of books, which give an insight into the fast learning of grammar,” he informed.

Apart from tips in grammar, students also got familiar with the tricks of memory enhancement and fast calculation.

“The squares of numbers and multiplication of two or three-digit numbers can be done in seconds with the help of some tried tips. If students learn them early, they can use them well in competitive exams. In fact, this gives them an edge over others,” explained Rajesh Kumar, who conducted the sessions on speed calculation.
