Ranchi, March 12: Masti ruled the last day of the outgoing batch of English (honours) students at St Xavier?s College today.

From Bollywood popular tunes to scores composed by local bands, the one-day festival saw it all.

The mood of the farewell-cum-freshers? welcome party was set with the foot-tapping number, Dhadak Dhadak, from Bunty aur Babli, at the auditorium of St John?s School.

Following this, a rock show gave a light to maintain the enthusiasm. This was presented by a rock band, Nemesis, which made the young crowd move their legs. Songs like Lamhe and Aadat of the Jal rock band, Bolo-bolo from Sajjad Ali, Smells like teen spirit from Nirvana band and the Last resort stole the heart of the students present there.

This rock band consists of Allen and Ravish, who lend their voice, Symond on drums, Abhishek on bass guitar and Ravish on a lead guitar.

The guest of honor of the program was Father Walter Ekka.

However, the centre attraction of the whole programme was Mr and Ms competition. This Mr and Ms contest was in different categories ? Fresher, Xaverian and Personality.

In this popular competition, Pratyush was crowned as Mr Fresher while Poorva was awarded as Ms Fresher. Anupam and Raina of first year were selected as Mr and Ms Personality, respectively. As it was the farewell for final year students, Ambroze and Shazia ? both of the outgoing batch ? were elected as Mr and Ms Xavier, respectively.
