New Delhi, March 15 (PTI): Two days after Supreme Court cancelled the bail granted to Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav in a murder case, a Delhi court today asked CBI to take the independent MP from Purnea to Patna where a case pertaining to the murder of trade union leader Ajit Sarkar is pending against him.

Metropolitan magistrate S.K. Sharma granted the agency transit remand till May 17 to take Yadav to Patna.

The court also directed CBI to produce him before the concerned court in Patna on March 17.

CBI had taken Yadav into custody on Friday after the apex court cancelled the bail granted to him.

While cancelling the bail, the Supreme Court took strong exception to the manner in which Patna High Court had given bail to Yadav overlooking an earlier Supreme Court order and the fact that his bail pleas have been rejected four times.
