Dhanbad district civil surgeon Dr Gopal Das said district surveillance officer Dr Rituraj Agarwal (mobile number 9006933674), district data manager Md Akhlaque (7992375826) and health managers Tajiuddin Ansari (6200715590) and Hiralal Rajak (9835551116) will operate the district control room.

The officials can be contacted on their mobile numbers round the clock.

The district control room will ensure collection of information for novel coronavirus, immediate coordination, preparation of report and progress report submission to the district and state administration.

On Friday, a meeting to asses the preparations for prevention, cure and treatment of the novel coronavirus was held at the district collectorate under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner (DC) Amit Kumar.

Stress was laid on the special disinfectant-spraying and cleanliness drives for public places to stop the spread of the virus, no confirmed case of which has yet been reported in the state.

Dhanbad mayor Chandrashekhar Agarwal, city superintendent of police (SP) R. Ramkumar, additional district magistrate (law and order) Anil Kumar, civil surgeon Dr Das, district education officer Indrabhushan Singh and others were present during the meeting.

“It is important to spread correct information among the common people to prevent the spread of disease,” said DC Amit Kumar after the meeting.
