Jamshedpur, April 9: Bokaro advanced into the summit clash of inter-district (Elite Group) U-14 tournament by defeating Deoghar by seven wickets at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium in Chaibasa today.
In the semi-finals, Deoghar, electing to bat first, were shot out for 110 in 36.3 overs. Bokaro's Priyanshu Srivastava bagged four wickets. Bokaro made the chase look easier by reaching the target in 29.2 overs, losing three wickets. Meanwhile, Khunti and Dumka made it to the semi-finals of the inter-district U-14 (Plate Group) by stitching up wins in Bokaro.
In the senior inter-disirict (Elite Group) tournament for HP Bodhanwala Trophy in Jamshedpur, the steel city outfit defeated Jamtara by 6 wickets at Telco grounds while Bokaro trounced Deogarh by 184 runs at Keenan Stadium.
