Wife’s poem: We give our warriors outdated machines

Garima Abrol, the wife of Squadron Leader Samir Abrol, one of the two IAF pilots killed in the Mirage 2000 fighter jet crash at the HAL airport in Bangalore on Saturday, has penned an emotional poem for her husband.

Garima, whose Instagram account describes her as a physiotherapist and Zumba and Prowl instructor, has laid bare the problems faced by “our warriors”, such as “outdated machines”.

Garima has also shared a poster of Samir, 33, in uniform, under which is written: “Let us pledge to expose the cause #lostpilots.”
