Bolpur, Jan. 29 :    Bolpur, Jan. 29:  Mother Dairy yesterday took over the management of the Bolpur Dairy - a cooperative dairy of milk farmers - to enhance the production of milk in and around Birbhum district. The 4,000 litres of milk produced by the dairy every day will from now on be marketed by Mother Dairy. A Mother Dairy official said the move was aimed at preventing distress sale of milk in Bolpur. Mother Dairy also plans to increase production to 10,000 litres a day. Minister for animal resources development Anisur Rahman said the government was determined to help milk farmers of Bengal to increase their production.
